Thursday's Wine: La Crema Pinot Noir 2010

We enjoyed this lovely wine by La Crema Pinot Noir 2010 with a Leg of Lamb Easter dinner this past Sunday. Having spoken to a number of people over the last year and it came highly recommended but we'd never had the opportunity to try it. What a wonderful surprise! (Nicely priced at $24.00) Here are the winemaker's notes to get you started--

A perennial favorite, this Pinot Noir offers aromas of lush cherry and red plum, with subtle hints of black tea and cola. On the palate, flavors are ripe and elegant, centering on red cherry and spice with a touch of earthiness and dark chocolate. A rich, juicy mid-palate and vivid acidity lead to plush tannins on the finish. The result is a fabulous, appealing food wine – enjoy!
