I attended a wine pairing dinner recently and tasted several delightful wines by Cakebread Cellars. Over the years I have spoken to many people that are big fans of the Cakebread brand, but I'd never had the pleasure of actually tasting their wines. I am a fan of Cabernet Sauvignon and tend to be very particular. I have to say that I was extremely impressed.
With its dark crimson-like color, this wine has the aromas of rich, dark berries reminiscent of boysenberry and blackberry. It also carries deep scents of coffee and chocolate. This is a full bodied, elegant wine that tastes velvety smooth on the palate. You won't be disappointed.
